Not used the Waste App in the last three days? If so, the installed software version will change the settings in such a way that you no longer receive push notifications (“power-saving mode”). To prompt the app to continue working as normal, you’ll need to deactivate “Battery optimisation” for the Waste App.
To get your reminders to work again, please make the following changes:
In the settings, add the Waste App to the list of “Protected apps” in your Android system.
On most devices, these settings are located under Settings > Protected apps > Waste App.
Check the box for the Waste App.
Important!
After deactivating app optimisation, please do the following:
- Restart the device
- Start the app
- Refresh the information about your local area and types of waste
Your reminders should now be working again, since power-saving measures have been deactivated for the app.
