Not used the Waste App in the last three days? If so, Samsung will change the settings on your Android device in such a way that you no longer receive push notifications (“Battery saver mode”). To prompt the app to continue working as normal, you’ll need to deactivate “Battery optimisation” for the Waste App.
Deactivating app optimisation for the Waste App
To deactivate app optimisation on your smartphone, carry out the following steps:
- Open Settings
- Open “Apps & notifications”
- Open “Advanced”
- Open “Special app access”
- Open “Battery optimisation”
- Select the Waste App
- Choose “Don’t optimise”
- Done
Important!
After deactivating app optimisation, please do the following:
- Restart the device
- Start the Waste App
- Refresh the information about your local area and types of waste
Your reminders should now be working again, since battery-saving measures have been deactivated for the app.
