Not used the Waste App in the last three days? If so, the installed software version will change the settings in such a way that you no longer receive push notifications (“Battery saver mode”). To prompt the app to continue working as normal, you’ll need to deactivate “Battery optimisation” for the Waste App
To reactive your reminders, please carry out the following steps:
1. Open Settings
2. Select “Battery and performance”
3. Tap “Choose apps” under “App battery saver”
4. Search for select the Waste App in the list
5. Activate “No restrictions”
Are notifications active?
1. Open Settings
2. Tap “Notifications and Status Bar”
3. View app notifications
4. Select the Waste App
5. “Show notifications” must be enabled
Set up Autostart:
1. Open Settings
2. Access “Installed Apps” under “App Settings”
3. Tap on the Waste App
4. Enable “Autostart”
Important!

After deactivating app optimisation, please do the following:
1. Restart the device
2. Start the Waste App
3. Refresh the information about your local area and types of waste
Why?

If an app is required to run in the background (e.g. because it receives messages or reminds the user of appointments), battery optimisation must be disabled in order for it to work on an ongoing basis. Otherwise, the Xiaomi-modified Android will prevent delivery of push notifications.
